Atomic Energy Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan

As part of the international conference, a session was held to discuss the prospects of adopting and developing nuclear technologies for peaceful purposes in the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Participants highlighted the significant potential of nuclear technologies as a powerful tool for scientific, technological, and economic advancement.

Key topics of discussion included the benefits of applying nuclear technologies in non-energy sectors. Promising areas identified included isotope production, the development of nuclear medicine, the establishment of oncology centers, research reactors, and data processing centers. Participants emphasized that such initiatives can not only stimulate economic growth but also address critical social and medical challenges.
