A meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev outlined key tasks for preschool and school education:
☑️ Olympiads: This year, Uzbek students won 195 medals at international subject Olympiads. The state will award them 10 billion soums, and their teachers will receive 3.5 billion soums in bonuses.
☑️ Kindergarten Construction: Governors were instructed to auction vacant land plots for the construction of new kindergartens. Private kindergartens will receive subsidies, and teachers’ salaries will be partially reimbursed.
☑️ Kindergartens in Apartment Buildings: Entrepreneurs who open kindergartens on the ground floor of new apartment complexes will also be eligible for state benefits.
☑️ Training Educators: Starting next academic year, a “1+5” model will be introduced: 1 day of study, 5 days of practice. This will produce around 10,000 university-educated preschool teachers each year.
☑️ AI Lessons: From next year, artificial intelligence courses will be introduced in upper grades.
Additionally, three specialized schools will open in regions:
◦ Information Technology — Al-Khwarizmi School
◦ Engineering — Mirzo Ulugbek School
◦ Natural Sciences — Ibn Sina School
👆Graduates of these schools who excel academically will be admitted directly to the 2nd year of technical universities.
☑️ Technical Colleges & Industry: Vocational training in colleges will be tailored to investor demands, with up to 30% of the curriculum adjustable. Enterprises implementing dual education will receive preferential loans.
☑️ Transition to 12-Year Education: In Uzbekistan, preschool preparation will become part of the school system, making education 12 years long:
◦ At age 6 — 1 year of preparation, then 4 years of primary education
◦ Grades 5–9 — 5 years of general education
◦ Final 2 years — complete secondary education (school, lyceum, military school, or technical college).
