The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan adopted a decision "On additional measures to accelerate the digitization of the healthcare system and introduce advanced digital technologies." According to it, the state institution "IT-Med" within the system of the Ministry of Health will be terminated, and its tasks and functions will be assigned to "UZINFOCOM" LLC, the only integrator for the creation and support of state information systems. The duties of a single integrator will include: optimization and simplification of business processes in the health care system based on advanced international experience through digitalization, as well as the development and implementation of mechanisms in this regard; Implementation and support of a single complex of "Electronic Health" information systems, as well as ensuring their integration with the information systems of other state bodies; implementation of policies and standards of digital technologies and communications in the field of medicine and pharmaceuticals; development of information systems implemented in the health sector and development of technical and economic parameters and concepts of projects financed by foreign financial organizations, as well as other project and pre-project documents; will consist of attracting investors, business partners and outsourcing services in order to realize the set tasks. The rights and obligations regarding the current projects implemented by the "IT-Med" state institution, including within the framework of concluded contracts, will be fully transferred to the Single Integrator. In accordance with the decision, the Digital Health Platform will be developed within the framework of the "Support for Digital Health Reforms" project. All medical and pharmaceutical organizations in the republic, including pharmacies, will be gradually connected to the Platform. The creation and implementation of information systems, resources and other software products in the field of health care must be carried out in coordination with the Single Integrator.
