Corruption — a path leading to the decline of the state

Among the countries of the world, one of the most widespread crimes is corruption. That is why it is often emphasized: “Corruption is the destroyer of society’s progress.”
An open dialogue dedicated to combating corruption was held in the meeting hall of the So‘x district administration. The event was attended by Yusufjon Kamolov, head of the Fergana regional administration group, Sayidbahrom Sayidmusaev, hokim of So‘x district, district prosecutor Sadirali Mirzokarimov, as well as heads of local organizations and institutions.
During the meeting, the negative consequences of corruption, its threats to the development of society and the state, and the need for uncompromising struggle against this evil were thoroughly discussed. It was also emphasized that strengthening the principles of honesty, integrity, and transparency among public servants, as well as fighting corruption as one of the factors that undermine human dignity and value, is a top priority.
A representative of the Fergana regional administration delivered a report-presentation on the topic “Strengthening intolerant and uncompromising attitudes toward corruption among public servants.” Particular attention was paid to the importance of expanding digitalization in various sectors, reducing human interference, ensuring transparency, and enhancing preventive measures to curb corruption.
During the dialogue, it was noted that corruption is currently one of the most widely discussed topics on social media and in the mass media. It was stressed that fighting this evil and uprooting it is the duty of every public servant. It was also underlined that any individual involved in corruption will be held accountable before the law, such cases will be publicly discussed at the community level, and corruption crimes will not go unpunished.
In his speech, So‘x district hokim Sayidbahrom Sayidmusaev emphasized that it is possible to eliminate this scourge by ensuring transparency in areas where corruption risks remain, strengthening the responsibility of partner organizations, and upholding the rule of law. Participants were also provided with normative-legal documents and methodological recommendations on the ethics of public service.
