Today, the celebrations for Samarkand City Day began with a tribute to the memory of the great commander Amir Timur.
Representatives of the regional and city communities, led by Adiz Boboev, the governor of the region, first visited the Mausoleum of Amir Timur. Following this, representatives from the regional and city administrations, the military, law enforcement agencies, and the general public laid flowers at the foot of the monument to Amir Timur (Sahibkiran).
