Chairperson of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan reviewed the work being carried out in Quvasoy city

As part of her visit to Fergana region, Orzigul Qozikhonova, Chairperson of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Youth, Women, Culture and Sports, held a number of meetings and conducted studies in Quvasoy city.
During the visit, the implementation of the “Urgent 60 Days” initiative, proposed at the 9th session of the City Council of People’s Deputies on the initiative of D. Mekhmonova, deputy of the Regional Council of People’s Deputies, was reviewed. The initiative is aimed at creating a safe environment in 31 neighborhoods of the city and improving the effectiveness of the system for preventing offenses in advance.
In addition, the Committee Chairperson inspected the activities of the center located in the “Arsif” neighborhood. The center provides training for women in entrepreneurship, ensures their employment, and enhances their social activity.

During the visit, the quality of medical services provided to the population at the family health center in “Arsif” neighborhood was also studied. Furthermore, the conditions created at the No. 2 Children’s and Youth Sports School, the sports halls, and the work being carried out to involve young people in a healthy lifestyle were examined.
Based on the visit, relevant recommendations were provided regarding the identified positive experiences and existing issues. The Committee Chairperson emphasized the need for systematic work in all areas, supporting youth and women, as well as strengthening cooperation to ensure a safe and healthy environment in neighborhoods.
