The delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs participated in the International Police Summit in Seoul

The National Police Agency of the Republic of Korea organized the event, which served as a major international forum for discussing global efforts to combat transnational crime and enhance international police cooperation.

Over 90 representatives from more than 30 countries attended this year's summit, making it one of the largest and most influential gatherings of police authorities in the world. Discussions focused on defining the future direction of law enforcement in response to global challenges, addressing the role of law enforcement in the digital age, and creating innovative strategies and collaborative policies to strengthen public safety.

As part of the summit, Minister of Internal Affairs Aziz Tashpulatov held a bilateral meeting with Yu Je Song, Acting Chief Commissioner of the National Police Agency of the Republic of Korea. The parties discussed strengthening the legal and institutional framework for cooperation. They also discussed joint efforts in combating transnational and cybercrime, ensuring public order and safety, and expanding partnership prospects between the two ministries.

A delegation from Uzbekistan also participated in a ceremony celebrating the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the National Police Agency of the Republic of Korea. As part of their visit, they also attended the "Korea Police World Expo-2025", where they were introduced to advanced technologies and innovative practices in the prevention of cybercrime and the digitalization of law enforcement.

In addition to studying the personnel training, education, and professional development systems at the Korea National Police University, the Uzbek delegation also visited the Korea National Police University during its visit. Further, they visited the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Aviation Division, where they observed how aircraft are used to ensure public safety and respond to emergencies, such as drones and helicopters.

The meetings and visits provided valuable opportunities for exchanging experiences, exploring innovative approaches, and strengthening practical cooperation on maintaining security and public order at the international level.
