It was stressed that this event is being organized to ensure that the proposals of the head of our state at the first summit in the format of "Central Asia—China" held in Xi'an, China, on May 19, 2023, are implemented to establish close cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Central Asian countries and China.
In recent years, the relations between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of our country and the Ministry of Public Security of China have expanded, and systematic cooperation in combating international terrorism, extremism, and transnational crimes and ensuring public safety has reached a new level. It was acknowledged that the visits were taking place at a rapid pace.
At the event, the parties focused on strengthening cooperation in the fight against terrorism and extremism, illegal drug trade, and other types of transnational crimes, organising special training courses for internal affairs officers to combat cybercrimes and digital forensics. They discussed important issues such as establishing mutual cooperation between the newly established Research Institute of Criminology and 4 scientific research centres of the Chinese Ministry of Public Security.
Following the meeting, two ministries signed the Program on mutual cooperation for 2024-2025.
At the meeting, held in a friendly and constructive spirit, promising tasks for developing mutual cooperation were defined.
