Established in 1985, KDHC is the largest state-owned company in the Republic of Korea specializing in district heating, cogeneration, cooling, and the integration of renewable energy sources. Today, the corporation supplies energy to more than two million households and organizations, supported by an extensive production and regional network.
The discussions focused on three priority areas of cooperation: modernization of the district heating system in Zarafshan, construction of a bioenergy complex in the Jizzakh region, and the introduction of advanced solutions within the framework of the “New Tashkent” project. The parties also reviewed mechanisms of public-private partnership and financing models acceptable to all stakeholders.
Both sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in deepening cooperation and agreed to continue detailed elaboration of the initiatives. The implementation of these projects will contribute to the establishment of a modern district heating system, enhance energy efficiency, and strengthen investment collaboration between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea.
