With the development of the economy and the acceleration of the rhythm of life, the need for transport communications is also increasing. By 2030, passenger traffic through Tashkent is expected to increase to 15 million people. However, the capital's existing airport does not have the necessary capacity and, being within the city limits, cannot be expanded.
In this regard, it is planned to build a new international airport in the Tashkent region. Currently, proposals from foreign companies within the framework of the private partnership mechanism are being considered.
At the presentation, responsible officials presented detailed information on all aspects of this large-scale project.
In recent years, investments in road infrastructure have also significantly increased, and new facilities are being actively built. In order to unload vehicle traffic, projects for alternative routes are being developed. To this end, a new edition of the Law "On Highways" has been prepared, aimed at creating a favorable investment climate.
Based on this, companies from several countries have shown interest in the project of constructing an alternative high-speed highway between Tashkent and Samarkand.
Responsible persons reported on the results of the negotiations and the proposals received.
The Head of State emphasized the need to thoroughly work out these strategically important infrastructure facilities and transition to practical implementation of projects as soon as possible.
