Prospects of cooperation with the French company “Veolia” were discussed

A meeting of the Ministry's leadership with representatives of Veolia company headed by Philippe Guitard, senior executive vice-president of the company for Central Asia, Central and Eastern Europe was held.
The main topics of discussion were the prospects for cooperation, in particular, the possibility of establishing an Institute for Sustainable Development. The Institute will train engineers and technicians for the energy and utilities sector.
Veolia also announced its intention to create a regional platform for joint PPP projects in Uzbekistan. The main directions of the platform will be financing projects in the field of heat supply, water supply, sewerage and modernization of irrigation pumping stations.
In addition, the meeting also discussed ongoing joint projects in which Veolia is already involved in Uzbekistan.
Following the meeting, the sides expressed readiness to further strengthen bilateral relations.
