Samarkand hosts the 14th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals

The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov addressed the opening ceremony. He read out a greeting from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the participants of the international forum.
Yesterday, three documents were signed on the eve of the meeting on the sidelines of the international forum. In particular, the Memorandum of Understanding on the Conservation of Migratory Birds of Prey in Africa and Eurasia between Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, the Memorandum of Cooperation in Wildlife Conservation on the Ustyurt Plateau (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan) and the Agreement between the Ministry of Ecology, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the International Union for Conservation of Nature to implement the Food System, Land Use and Restoration Impact Program (FOLUR) project.
The conference will be held on February 12-17 in Samarkand.
