The meeting was attended by Marius Dan, General Director of Templeton Global Investments for Central Asia, Bobur Khodjaev, Deputy State Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Khurshed Mustafaev, Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance, and other responsible officials.

Franklin Templeton provides investment services in asset management, mutual funds, private equity and infrastructure projects, digital assets, and innovative financial technologies.
During the conversation, the parties discussed developing mutual cooperation, including future plans as the manager and trustee of the National Investment Fund, the unique aspects of privatization and transformation processes in our country, ongoing reforms in the sector, as well as expanding collaboration with international investors.
For information: On May 1, 2025, Franklin Templeton's representative office in Tashkent was established, and the company began its operations as the manager and trustee of the National Investment Fund of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The National Investment Fund of the Republic of Uzbekistan was established as a joint-stock company in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 27, 2024. The Fund holds minority stakes ranging from 20 to 40 percent in 18 major state-owned enterprises in the country. The Government of Uzbekistan is the 100-percent owner of the Fund.
The parties also exchanged views on accelerating reforms for the development of state-owned enterprises in our country and the ongoing efforts to privatize state-owned banks.
At the conclusion of the negotiations, the parties agreed to develop and further strengthen mutual cooperation ties and to conduct systematic and effective activities to achieve the established goals.
