On April 26, a meeting was held between Laziz Kudratov, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Alexander Sheldyaev, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry, Energy, and Innovation of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
During the talks, the parties discussed promising areas for further development of cooperation, including interregional collaboration, machine tool manufacturing, light industry, and the exchange of personnel and technology.
The positive dynamics of trade turnover between the regions of Uzbekistan and Bashkortostan were highlighted, with an increase of 11.8% recorded by the end of 2024. An agreement was reached on organizing export deliveries of fruit, vegetable, and textile products to the Republic of Bashkortostan.
Additionally, the sides discussed plans to establish a joint technology park in Uzbekistan to host Bashkir companies. The Bashkir side also expressed interest in opening a trading house in Uzbekistan
