For information: MEDEF International (Mouvement des Entreprises de France International) is France's largest business association, which assists French companies in entering the international market. The organization plays a crucial role in developing economic and trade relations with foreign countries. The association maintains economic cooperation with over 120 countries worldwide.
The meeting was attended by representatives of numerous major French companies, including Societe Generale, VEOLIA, Iveco Bus, EDF International Networks, Eiffage International, SUEZ, Voltalia, Orano, Airbus, Aéroports de Paris, TotalEnergies Renewables Uzbekistan, ALSTOM, and Egis. These corporate representatives provided information about the activities, expertise, and potential areas of cooperation of the companies within the delegation.
Additionally, representatives from several major Uzbek companies and heads of relevant ministries and government agencies participated in the meeting.
During the conversation, the parties held discussions on the following directions:
· Public-private partnership – expanding collaborative relationships with companies in infrastructure projects;
· Ensuring green growth – promoting a green economy and increasing energy efficiency through the use of green technologies;
· Developing the energy sector – modernizing heat supply systems, improving electricity distribution, and utilizing hydroelectric power stations;
· Transport and road construction – implementing projects for the development of transport infrastructure, modernizing airports, and constructing new modern highways;
· Agriculture and water supply – executing irrigation projects, incorporating modern technologies in the sector, efficient utilization of water resources, and improving drinking water supply systems;
· Private sector support and transformation – expanding financial support instruments for the private sector, and facilitating the transformation and privatization processes of state-owned enterprises.
During the discussions, views were exchanged on the extensive use of international experiences in the aforementioned areas and the development of innovative projects based on innovative approaches and modern trends.
At the conclusion of the negotiations, the parties agreed to enhance cooperative relations, expand collaborative projects, and increase the processes of exchanging ideas.
