The meeting was participated by Deputy Ministers of Economy and Finance Ahadbek Khaidarov and Jasur Karshibaev, Head of the World Bank's Office in Uzbekistan Marco Mantovanelli, Lead Economist and Program Manager for Central Asia David Knight and other senior officials.

During the meeting the participants discussed prospective financing projects, including processes of modernization and digitalization of infrastructure in rural areas by attracting investments into the sphere.

The current status of implementation of joint projects and arrangements related to the World Bank's support in Uzbekistan's transition to a market economy, transformation and privatization of state-owned enterprises was discussed. In particular, cooperation in the implementation of poverty reduction strategy, including programs to support and improve professional skills of women and youth.
