Uzbekistan and Qatar expand investment cooperation

Negotiations were also held with representatives of the Qatari government and leading companies.

Discussions focused on expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation and advancing joint initiatives in industry, energy, agriculture, transport infrastructure and mineral resource development.

Particular attention was paid to attracting Qatari investment into projects in New Tashkent, strengthening industrial cooperation, and developing transport corridors and infrastructure through public-private partnerships.

The parties also reviewed financings mechanisms for promising initiatives, support for women and youth entrepreneurship, and enhanced cooperation with international financial institutions.

Following the visit, the parties agreed on further steps to advance investment proposals, strengthen business ties and ensure the practical implementation of the agreements reached.
