The 3rd plenary session of the Council of Regions of Uzbekistan and Russia was held

The event brought together heads and representatives of 17 Russian regions, representatives of all regions of Uzbekistan, as well as around 400 entrepreneurs from the two countries.
The welcoming remarks of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin were delivered by Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev and First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.
The high-level representation of the two countries’ delegations provided an opportunity to discuss a broad range of issues, from expanding direct interregional ties and industrial cooperation to trade, investment and joint projects.
As a practical outcome of the meeting, four agreements were signed. They cover cooperation between the Fergana and Omsk regions, the Surkhandarya Region and Krasnoyarsk Krai, the Namangan Region and the Republic of Dagestan, as well as an investment agreement between the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Wildberries on the construction of a Class A logistics complex.
The next meeting of the Council of Regions will be held in Omsk.
