The meeting was attended by the head of the IMF office in Uzbekistan Koba Gvenetadze, IMF senior economists Lawrence Dwight and Alexander Simone, Chairman of the Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mamarizo Nurmuratov, First Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Ilkhom Norkulov, Deputy Ministers Akhadbek Khaidarov and Jasur Karshibayev, as well as other responsible officials.

During the dialogue, the parties discussed current economic trends in Uzbekistan, in particular, economic growth, ensuring stability of the inflation rate, development of the service sector, budget forecasts and work carried out in other areas.

During the conversation, the parties also exchanged views on future plans for sustainable economic development, improving the tax system, accelerating the privatization of SOEs, prospects for membership in the World Trade Organization, reducing the hidden economy and developing the electric vehicle industry.

Following the negotiations, the parties agreed to strengthen and expand mutually beneficial cooperation, as well as to carry out systematic work to achieve the set goals.
