During the event, the parties discussed the development of cooperation between the ministries of internal affairs of the two countries in recent years.
These positive results including seminars-trainings on jurisprudence and prevention organized by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), events related to the exchange of experience within the framework of the project for the development of cooperation between law enforcement agencies of Central Asia, as well as the activities of the representative of German Federal Criminal Police Office for Central Asia Olaf Vorbs is represented in bilateral meetings and practical activities of cooperation.
According to the meeting, in recent years, 81 foreign countries, including Germany, have been allowed to remain in Uzbekistan for up to 30 days without a visa.
It has resulted in a steady increase in the number of German citizens visiting our country every year. For example, in 2022, the number was 40,000, and within the first eight months of this year, the number exceeded 51,000. A total of 2,00 Uzbek citizens are currently living and working in Germany.
An emphasis was placed on the fact that the Intergovernmental Agreement "On Migration and Mobility" signed yesterday during high-level meetings will facilitate future mutual visits between our citizens.
During the meeting, the parties agreed to develop cooperation within the framework of an effective fight against cybercrime and the development of digital forensics, as well as the exchange of experience in training and retraining personnel.
In the friendly and constructive meeting, the office heads identified upcoming tasks that will be implemented soon.
