Uzbekistan and Belarus strengthen interregional cooperation

The plenary session was attended by the Deputy Prime Ministers of the two countries, Yury Shuleiko and Jamshid Khodjaev, along with representatives of government bodies, regional administrations, relevant ministries and agencies, and the business communities of both countries.

During the discussions, it was emphasized that Belarus is one of Uzbekistan’s key strategic partners and that bilateral relations continue to become increasingly practical and results-oriented.

Particular attention was given to strengthening direct interregional ties, expanding industrial cooperation, and launching joint manufacturing projects. It was noted that the economies of Uzbekistan and Belarus complement each other, creating opportunities for product localization, the development of value chains, and access to third-country markets.

The forum also featured a signing ceremony for interregional documents, as well as investment and trade agreements. The business programme included thematic sessions on industry, agriculture, woodworking, furniture manufacturing, and social and humanitarian cooperation.
