Meeting of the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan with the Foreign Minister of Jordan

During the talks, the parties discussed key issues related to further advancing the comprehensive partnership between Uzbekistan and Jordan in the context of implementing the agreements reached at the highest level in Samarkand last year.
The schedule of upcoming high-level visits and other joint events was reviewed.
The growing momentum of bilateral dialogue and exchanges was noted with satisfaction. The importance of further intensifying political consultations and strengthening close coordination between the foreign ministries of the two countries was emphasized.
Concrete practical steps were identified to expand cooperation in trade and investment, transport and logistics, tourism, agriculture, education, as well as cultural and humanitarian fields. Confidence was expressed that the launch of direct Amman–Tashkent flights and the activities of the Business Council would elevate economic partnership between the two countries to a new qualitative level.
The parties also held an in-depth exchange of views on current regional and international issues. Readiness to further strengthen practical cooperation within the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Non-Aligned Movement, and other multilateral platforms was reaffirmed.
Jordan was reaffirmed as an important and reliable partner of Uzbekistan in the Middle East, and commitment was expressed to continue joint efforts aimed at further enriching the multifaceted partnership between the two countries with new substance.
