The focus was on expanding Uzbekistan’s export-import operations through the Georgian corridor.
During the visit to Anaklia, special attention was paid to the potential participation of the Uzbek side in the development of Georgia’s largest deep-sea port. Upon completion, it will be capable of accommodating all types of vessels and will become an important hub for international transport routes, including the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan corridor.
In Poti, prospects for cooperation in developing warehouse and terminal infrastructure for Uzbekistan’s export-import cargo were reviewed. Likewise, issues of cooperation were discussed during the visit to the Port of Batumi, which has strong potential for expanding transportation along the Black Sea route.
Following the visit, promising areas for future cooperation were identified. Plans include the preparation of cooperation agreements and the establishment of a consortium with the participation of Uzbek companies.
