Meeting Held with the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Nasriddin Ismatullo; the Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Otabek Fozilkarimov; the Advisor to the Minister, Jasur Karshibayev; and other officials.

During the dialogue, the parties discussed the further development of financial and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, the exchange of experience in public finance management, and the expansion of bilateral practical relations.

The sides noted that the sincere and constructive dialogue, good-neighborly relations, and spirit of mutual trust between the heads of state of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan are elevating the socioeconomic cooperation between the two countries to a new level and creating a solid foundation for further expanding practical ties in the financial sector.

At the meeting, special attention was given to issues of improving the public finance management system, increasing the efficiency of budgetary processes, developing social sectors, and exchanging institutional experience in other areas of cooperation.

The parties also exchanged views on projects being implemented in cooperation with international financial institutions, supporting regional economic stability, developing trade and economic relations, and further strengthening financial dialogue between neighboring countries.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a Cooperation Program for 2026–2027 was signed between the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan.
