A meeting was held with the UK Minister of State for Investment, Lord Jason Stockwood

The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Uzbekistan Timothy Smart, Executive Director of the Export Finance Agency (UKEF) Tim Reid, Executive Director of the London Stock Exchange Julia Hoggett, Executive Director of Standard Chartered Bank Saif Malik and a number of officials.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to the development of capital markets and the expansion of cooperation with the London Stock Exchange. Views were exchanged on Uzbekistan's participation in international capital markets, the placement of sovereign and corporate securities, as well as the continuation of privatization processes and IPOs of enterprises with state participation.

During the dialogue, issues of cooperation in urban planning, regional development, and the development of master plans were also discussed. It was noted that the projects implemented with British companies are of great importance in the formation of modern urban planning approaches, sustainable infrastructure and a comfortable living environment for the population in Uzbekistan.

The parties also focused on expanding cooperation with UKEF. Proposals were made for a more in-depth study of the Agency's financing mechanisms, accelerating the process of preparing joint projects, and strengthening practical dialogue between relevant ministries and agencies.

During the dialogue, issues of cooperation with Standard Chartered Bank were also considered. Readiness was expressed to continue cooperation on entering international capital markets, placing sovereign bonds, improving capital market legislation, and attracting foreign investment.

In conclusion, the parties agreed to continue a constructive dialogue on further expanding investment, financial, and infrastructure cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UK, accelerating existing initiatives, and developing new joint projects.
