This document represents one of the first comprehensive cooperation agreements between the competent government authorities of the two countries specifically aimed at developing the vocational education sector and is expected to enrich Uzbekistan–Germany relations with a new strategic dimension.
Under the agreement, the parties will cooperate in conducting research in the field of vocational education, improving the dual education system, enhancing the quality of education, introducing modern governance mechanisms, expanding cooperation between educational institutions and employers, and implementing joint projects and pilot initiatives.
To ensure effective cooperation, a Joint Uzbekistan–Germany Working Group will be established. This platform will serve as an important mechanism for coordinating collaboration among educational institutions, chambers of commerce and industry, sectoral associations, organizations, and manufacturing enterprises of both countries, while also facilitating the implementation of new joint projects.
The agreement provides a solid foundation for the broad introduction of Germany’s internationally recognized dual education model in Uzbekistan, the training of highly qualified specialists aligned with the needs of various sectors of the economy, the enhancement of graduates’ competitiveness in the labor market, and the further development of the vocational education system in line with international standards.
The signing of this agreement is an important outcome of the joint efforts aimed at further deepening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Germany in the field of education and advancing human capital development.
