Views exchanged with the Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Trade on areas of cooperation

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Uzbekistan, Hassan Hamza Hashim; Director of International Cooperation and Trade Agreements of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Qatar, Saeed Al Braydi; as well as the Deputy Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Jasurbek Choriev; the Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade, Shokhrukh Gulamov, and other officials.
During the dialogue, the parties discussed the further development of bilateral trade and economic relations, advancing their mutually beneficial partnership to a new stage, promoting large joint projects, and formulating new initiatives.
In particular, the parties focused on the following key areas of cooperation:
Implementing joint projects in areas of strategic cooperation and expanding collaboration in infrastructure sectors;
Expanding cooperation within the framework of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mechanisms, including infrastructure projects being implemented in our country on the basis of PPP;
Cooperation in privatization processes to further increase the share of the private sector in the economy.
At the conclusion of the negotiations, the parties agreed to develop mutually beneficial cooperation, expand the exchange of views on areas of cooperation, and promote new initiatives.
