Meeting Held with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Korea

At the meeting, the parties discussed the further development of economic and financial cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea, the promotion of joint projects in priority areas, and the expansion of mutual experience exchange. During the dialogue, special attention was also paid to jointly implemented projects.

During the discussions, the parties addressed the prospects for cooperation in developing the semiconductor industry in Uzbekistan, taking into account the Republic of Korea's advanced experience in high technologies, innovative industries, and digital governance.

It was noted that this initiative is crucial for modernizing industry, producing high-value-added products, and creating a modern technological ecosystem.

At the same time, they exchanged views on cooperation in the gradual introduction of digital public finance management systems, including artificial intelligence technologies, into public finance management processes.

In particular, they considered the possibility of using South Korea's experience to increase efficiency in digitalizing budget processes, financial forecasting, budget monitoring, risk assessment, and decision-making through the use of modern digital solutions.

At the conclusion of the negotiations, the parties agreed to further develop mutual cooperation, expand the exchange of knowledge and experience, and develop joint initiatives in the identified areas.
