At the beginning of the meeting, the delegations took part in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Eternal Flame memorial, paying tribute to those who lost their lives during World War II.
In the next stage, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, held a meeting with the defense ministers of the SCO member states. He emphasized the importance of further developing military cooperation within the organization, expanding the practice of joint exercises, and strengthening coordinated approaches to ensuring regional security.
As part of the visit, bilateral talks were also held between the minister of defense of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant General Shukhrat Kholmukhamedov, and the minister of defense of the Kyrgyz Republic, major general Ruslan Mukambetov. During the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to expanding military-technical cooperation, improving joint training systems, enhancing the exchange of experience between officers and specialists, as well as implementing joint initiatives aimed at ensuring regional security.
The negotiations were held in a sincere and constructive atmosphere, contributing to the further strengthening of mutual trust and strategic partnership between the parties. This, in turn, creates a solid foundation for elevating multilateral cooperation within the SCO to a new qualitative level and intensifying efforts to ensure peace and stability in the region.
