Both parties confirmed that all projects agreed upon during the high-level visit in December 2025 are progressing in strict accordance with the established schedule. This cooperation encompasses initiatives in livestock farming, small business support, and investment collaboration.
Energy sector projects were also reviewed, with ongoing efforts focused on improving the energy efficiency of industrial and social facilities. The joint development of free economic zones, in partnership with JICA and JETRO, remains a key priority. The sides reached an agreement to accelerate technical preparations and actively present Uzbekistan’s investment potential to the Japanese business community.
In the field of STEM education, the parties discussed the establishment of advanced laboratories and the launch of partnership programs with Japanese universities to train engineering specialists. Furthermore, the importance of expanding direct financing for the private sector through the PSIF program was emphasized. At the conclusion of the talks, the Japanese delegation was formally invited to attend the Tashkent International Investment Forum, scheduled for June 16-19, 2026.
