The parties noted the steady positive momentum in bilateral relations and the significant increase in mutual trade in 2025. It was particularly emphasized that trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Indonesia grew by 82% last year.
The discussions resulted in agreements to expand exports of agricultural products, accelerate quarantine and phytosanitary procedures, and establish cooperation on the mutual recognition of halal certification. Special attention was given to transitioning to practical implementation mechanisms for the agreed measures.
Following the meeting, the parties signed a Cooperation Agreement in the field of trade and investment, as well as a Joint Statement announcing the launch of negotiations on a Free Trade Agreement between Uzbekistan and Indonesia.
Both sides expressed confidence that the agreements reached will elevate bilateral engagement to a new qualitative level and provide additional momentum to a long-term, mutually beneficial and structured partnership.
