Tashkent hosts a meeting of the SCO RATS Council

It was attended by delegations of the competent authorities of the Republic of India, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the People’s Republic of China, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Executive Committee of the SCO RATS.
At the meeting, the Report of the SCO RATS Council to the Council of Heads of SCO Member States on the activities of the SCO RATS in 2022 was approved. Information on the progress of the implementation in 2022 of the Cooperation Program of the SCO Member States in Combating Terrorism, Separatism and Extremism for 2022-2024 was considered. A positive assessment was given to the Executive Committee of the SCO RATS activities for the past period.
A decision was made to conduct a joint information operation to prevent the use of the Internet for terrorist, separatist and extremist purposes.
It was agreed to hold in 2023 the next joint anti-terrorist exercise of the competent authorities of the SCO member states “Eurasia – Antiterror-2023” in the Kyrgyz Republic, the ninth meeting of the heads of border services of the competent authorities of the SCO member states and the 9th International Scientific and Practical Conference of the SCO RATS.
A draft Memorandum of Cooperation between the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center was approved.
The title of “Honorary Representative of the SCO Member State in the Council of the SCO RATS” was awarded to the representative of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Aisha Farooqi.
An agreement was reached to hold the next meeting of the SCO RATS Council in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
