Participation in the 24th Ministerial Conference of the CAREC

In the opening ceremony, he emphasized the importance of expanding trade and investment cooperation and expressed support for launching negotiations on the CAREC Agreement on Trade and Investment Facilitation (CARTIF).

During the thematic sessions, the Minister presented Uzbekistan’s initiatives aimed at developing physical and digital infrastructure, enhancing regional connectivity, modernizing transport and logistics chains, and strengthening resilience to climate risks. He also highlighted priority areas related to human capital development, innovation and digital transformation.

The conference resulted in the signing of several important documents, including a Memorandum of Understanding on a pilot model for electronic exchange and mutual recognition of conformity certificates among CAREC countries, as well as a Memorandum on establishing the CAREC Innovation and Venture Investment Catalyst Fund.

Uzbekistan’s participation reaffirmed its commitment to fostering regional cooperation and its readiness to advance new projects that strengthen economic ties and expand opportunities for business.
