Representatives of the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan visited Georgia on a business trip

To further develop cultural cooperation between Uzbekistan and Georgia, a delegation led by the First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bahodir Ahmedov, visited Georgia.
During the visit, several meetings were held with the heads of cultural and artistic institutions. Notably, yesterday, Bahodir Ahmedov met with the rector of the Tbilisi State Academy of Fine Arts.
During the meeting, discussions were held on establishing cooperation between higher education institutions in the field of culture, organizing exhibitions promoting the cultures of both countries, exploring student exchange programs, and fostering collaboration among cultural education institutions.
Additionally, the rector of the academy provided information about the history and academic programs of the institution and expressed interest in implementing the projects proposed by Uzbekistan.
Following this, a meeting was organized between Bahodir Ahmedov’s delegation and the Deputy Ministers of Culture of Georgia, Giorgi Mirtskulava and Beka Davituliani.
During the meeting, discussions covered the signing of a cultural cooperation program between the two countries for 2026-2028, fostering collaboration between organizations responsible for the film industry, implementing joint projects between representatives of the film sectors of both countries, and organizing theater and dance troupe tours between Georgia and Uzbekistan.
The discussion also focused on strengthening cooperation between the two nations, including signing a partnership program between Uzbekistan and Georgia, holding "Days of Georgian Culture" events in Uzbekistan, and ensuring the participation of Uzbek and Georgian cultural representatives in international festivals held in both countries.
At the end of the meeting, Bahodir Ahmedov invited his Georgian colleagues to attend the "International Bakhshi Art Festival", scheduled to take place in April this year in the city of Khiva.
Additionally, the delegation visited the Georgian State Philharmonic Hall, where they were introduced to the institution’s activities and past projects.
