Today, January 31, a group of talented artists who have made a significant and multifaceted contribution to the development of our country's culture and arts, as well as to its international prestige, were honored with the "Yangi O‘zbekiston yulduzlari" National Award.

 

This year’s "Yangi O‘zbekiston yulduzlari" National Award ceremony stood out with a unique spirit and format compared to previous years.

 

Nominees were selected from representatives of various fields, including theater, circus, music (pop, traditional, academic, folk), composition, choreography, as well as visual and applied arts, literary creativity, and other branches of culture and the arts. A total of 20 individuals were awarded.

 

Based on the regulations (Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan Resolution No. PQ-594, dated October 14, 2022), the nominees were reviewed and selected by the "Yangi O‘zbekiston yulduzlari" National Culture and Art Award Commission, considering their creative achievements throughout the year.

 

The winners and laureates were announced in the following categories:

• Cinema, Theater, and Mass Performances:
  • Best Play of the Year
  • Best Feature Film of the Year
  • Best Puppet Show of the Year
  • Best Theater Actor of the Year
  • Best Theater Actress of the Year
  • Best Theater Director of the Year
  • Best Comedian of the Year
  • Best Circus Artist of the Year
• Pop, Traditional, Opera Singing, Musical Performance, and Dance Arts:
  • Best Traditional Male Singer of the Year
  • Best Traditional Female Singer of the Year
  • Best Opera Performer of the Year
  • Best Pop Male Singer of the Year
  • Best Pop Female Singer of the Year
  • Best Orchestra of the Year
  • Best Dancer of the Year
  • Best Instrumentalist of the Year
• Visual and Applied Arts:
  • Best Library Serving the Public of the Year
  • Best Writer (Poet) of the Year
  • Best National Cultural Center of the Year
  • Best Media Project of the Year
  •  

The winners received a special statuette and certificate, along with a financial award amounting to 100 times the basic calculation rate, as per the order of the Minister of Culture.

 

It should be noted that this is the third time the "Yangi O‘zbekiston yulduzlari" National Culture and Art Award ceremony has been held in our country.
