In the Republic of Turkey, a ceremony was held to inaugurate the new building of the "Uzbekistan Culture, Solidarity, and Cooperation Society," along with an international forum aimed at promoting Uzbek culture, history, and art.
The event featured speeches from representatives of the Uzbek diplomatic mission, specifically the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul, compatriots, and prominent entrepreneurs and business leaders. Acting Rector of the Yunus Rajabi Uzbek National Music Art Institute, Eldor Shermanov, delivered a congratulatory address from the Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan, Ozodbek Nazarbekov.
Background: The primary mission of the "Uzbekistan Culture, Solidarity, and Cooperation Society" is to promote Uzbek values, culture, and art among compatriots living in Turkey. Additionally, the society provides legal and other forms of support to the Uzbek diaspora.
During the forum, it was agreed to establish a circle for Uzbek national music. The society, in cooperation with the Yunus Rajabi Uzbek National Music Art Institute (O‘zMMSI), will host various cultural events and concerts in the future. In the coming days, seven musical instruments will be donated to the society.
Now, students residing in Turkey and studying in the field of art will have the opportunity to undergo internships at the society. Furthermore, concerts for Uzbek compatriots are planned.
In 2025, a major concert program by the Yunus Rajabi Uzbek National Music Art Institute is planned to be held at a cultural center in Istanbul.
