These days, the international festival "Sharq Bozori" (Eastern Market) of Turkic and Eastern nations is taking place in Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan. The delegation from Uzbekistan is also participating in the festival.
As part of the festival, an official meeting was held at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, with the participation of Uzbekistan's Consul in Kazan, N. Qasimov, the first secretary of the embassy, K. Davronov, the general director of the Uzbek State Philharmonic, A. Tojiboyev, the deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, R. Zarikeev, the Minister of Culture of Karakalpakstan, B. Temirbayev, the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, I. Ayupova, the deputy ministers D. Naftulin and V. Dautova, and the candidate of sciences from the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, A. Fayzrahmanov.
At the meeting, issues related to strengthening bilateral cooperation, promoting cultural and tourism exchanges, sharing experiences, and implementing large-scale joint projects were discussed.
Notably, the idea of organizing "Three Generations" meetings, similar to those held in Uzbekistan for many years, was proposed.
Following the meeting, the opening ceremony of the international "Sharq Bozori" festival took place in Kazan. The festival featured performances by the People's Artist of Karakalpakstan, B. Temirbayev, and the "Nihol" award winner, A. Piyazov, who entertained the festival participants with their songs.
Today, an exhibition of craftsmen and artists from Karakalpakstan also began in Kazan.
