"Days of Culture of Uzbekistan" held in Turkmenistan

The Uzbek and Turkmen peoples have long been close friends, good neighbors, and strategic partners, living together with shared goals.
Therefore, the roots of the relationship between the two countries go back to a distant past, built on mutual respect and trust.
Today, it is important to speak about the development of friendly relations with Turkmenistan, one of Uzbekistan’s closest strategic partners, and how these relations are rising to a new level.
Historical steps have been taken between the two friendly nations to expand cooperation in social, economic, and cultural spheres, with new directions and prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation being outlined.
In recent years, cultural relations between the two republics have significantly expanded.
In order to further strengthen cultural ties, “Uzbekistan Culture Days” were held in Turkmenistan from November 18 to 21 this year.
On November 18, the opening ceremony of the “Uzbekistan Culture Days” took place at the Maqam Center Palace in Ashgabat.
The events held in Turkmenistan within the framework of “Uzbekistan Culture Days” were led by Bahodir Ahmedov, the First Deputy Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan.
From November 18 to 21, the following events took place in Turkmenistan as part of the “Uzbekistan Culture Days”:
- The opening ceremony of the “Uzbekistan Culture Days” in Turkmenistan and a gala concert with the participation of Uzbek artists;
- An applied arts exhibition in Ashgabat;
- A creative meeting of Uzbek and Turkmen writers and poets on the topic “Maxtumquli Firagiy and his contribution to the development of world literature”;
- A concert program, a national dress demonstration, an applied arts exhibition, and other cultural activities in the “Tashkent” park in Ashgabat;
- A gala concert with the participation of Turkmen and Uzbek artists.
Note: About 100 Uzbek artists and cultural workers participated in the “Uzbekistan Culture Days” in Turkmenistan.
The event was attended by high-ranking official representatives, diplomats, and artists from the cultural and business circles of both Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
