Uzbekistan's Minister of Culture, Ozodbek Nazarbekov, held a meeting with the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Algeria and Egypt in Uzbekistan, as well as the Acting Representative of Georgia in our country.
Today, November 5, a meeting was held between the Minister of Culture, Ozodbek Nazarbekov, and the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Algeria and Egypt, along with the Acting Representative of Georgia in Uzbekistan.
In the first half of the day, the Minister met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria to Uzbekistan, Muhammad Irki, and Georgia's Acting Representative David Kotaria. In the second half, he met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Uzbekistan, Tamer Fathi Abdusalom. The discussions focused on the bilateral relations between the countries.
During the meeting with Muhammad Irki, it was noted that relations had significantly advanced under the 2022 Action Plan for Developing Bilateral Relations between Uzbekistan and the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria for 2022–2023. Algerian representatives actively participated in various cultural events such as the International "Lazgi" Dance Festival in 2022 and 2024, the International Festival of Epic Art and Handicrafts in 2023, the Maqom Art Conference, and the International Music Festival "Sharq Taronalari."
During the meeting with Georgia's Acting Representative David Kotaria, discussions highlighted the yearly strengthening of cultural cooperation between Uzbekistan and Georgia.
In the second half of the day, another meeting took place with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Tamer Fathi Abdusalom. The discussion covered the expansion of cultural cooperation within the framework of agreements reached during Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to Egypt and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi's visit to Uzbekistan. It was emphasized that mutual participation in festivals and events held in both countries had become consistent.
The meetings with the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Algeria and Egypt, as well as the Acting Representative of Georgia, were conducted in a spirit of mutual respect and at a high level.
