Dear guests, ladies and gentlemen,
It is my honor to congratulate everyone participating in today’s grand event – the official opening ceremony of Uzbekistan Culture Days in Georgia.
There are traditional friendship and partnership relations between Georgia and the Republic of Uzbekistan, based on the principles of equality and mutual respect. The warm and friendly relations that have developed between our peoples over the centuries are especially noteworthy. Therefore, the remarkable successes that Uzbekistan has achieved in strengthening its independence and sovereignty bring us, especially, much joy.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the government and people of Uzbekistan for their unwavering support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia.
I am pleased to note that 2024 will be a very important year in our bilateral relations, as we will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Uzbekistan (signed on August 19, 1994). I would like to take this opportunity to extend our sincerest congratulations and best wishes to the government and people of Uzbekistan on this significant occasion.
Recently, it is gratifying to see the growing bilateral cooperation between our countries in various fields, including economics, trade, transport, tourism, healthcare, and culture.
The goal of the Georgian government is to deepen and expand relations with Uzbekistan, and I am glad that the government of Uzbekistan fully supports this ambition.
Dear guests, I would like to take this opportunity to wish peace, prosperity, and great success to the fraternal Uzbek people. Thank you all for your attention! Have a pleasant evening!
