The Deputy Head spoke about the work carried out by the Inspectorate to combat and prevent corruption, strengthen preventive measures in the sphere, in particular, the approval of the "Anti-Corruption Program" of the Inspectorate for 2025 and the measures taken to prevent and eradicate corruption in the sphere.
It was also noted that more than 15 internal documents have been adopted and are being implemented, such as the "Anti-Corruption Policy", "Code of Business Ethics", "Regulations on Conflict of Interest Management", "Instructions for the Selection of Candidates for Positions", "Policy on Receiving and Giving Gifts";
In order to ensure the implementation of the Law "On Conflict of Interest", 102 employees of the Inspectorate filled out declarations of conflict of interest, as a result of which it was revealed that 13 employees had a potential conflict of interest. These situations were eliminated in accordance with the procedure established by law.
"The Inspectorate has created 4 communication channels for reporting facts of corruption and posted them on the official website, information about complaints about facts of corruption is posted on the Inspectorate website.
At the same time, 58 employees were trained in the international standard ISO 37001:2016, which is aimed at creating an anti-corruption system. The Inspectorate also received a certificate of this international standard for state control and licensing in the mining and geological sphere," the speaker said. Also, in accordance with the Roadmap "On identifying and eliminating corruption factors in the mining and geological industry and creating a "corruption-free" environment", official inspections were conducted in the Eastern (Fergana, Andijan, Namangan regions) and Central (Tashkent, Syrdarya, Jizzakh regions) territorial offices of the Inspectorate. During the inspections, a number of violations were identified, including non-compliance with current legislation in the performance of labor activities and inspections by individual state inspectors, improper performance of official duties, as well as illegal collusion with business entities using official powers. In particular, during the state control activities carried out in 37 business entities, facts of concealment, incomplete or deliberate underestimation of the volumes of production of various minerals, failure to take measures against violators in areas of illegal subsoil extraction and, conversely, concealment of crimes in exchange for illegal collusion with the said citizens were revealed.
Based on the results of official investigations, various disciplinary measures were applied to 15 employees, and the collected materials were sent to the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan for taking appropriate measures.
