The primary focus of these activities is to ensure the implementation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Cabinet of Ministers Resolutions No. 710 dated October 28, 2024, and No. 133 dated March 25, 2022. These documents provide for the improvement of the movement procedures for oversized and heavy-weight vehicles on highways and the establishment of strict discipline in the use of subsoil plots.
During the events, entrepreneurs were informed about the introduction of new obligations into permits and agreements for the right to use subsoil plots for the extraction of non-metallic minerals. From now on, permit holders are required to install specialized scales at mining sites to measure the weight parameters of vehicles. These measures are designed to prevent the overloading of heavy trucks beyond established norms and protect road surfaces from premature deterioration.
As part of the digitalization of the industry, particular attention was paid to the installation of surveillance cameras at mining sites. This system will enable precise accounting of extracted resources and help curb illegal mining operations. During the inspections, site owners were given specific instructions to ensure that freight transport enters the roads only in compliance with regulatory requirements.
These practical steps signify an enhancement in the culture of subsoil use in the region and raise state supervision to a new level. The installation of scales and surveillance cameras will not only preserve road infrastructure but also ensure transparency in the circulation of non-metallic minerals, preventing economic losses. Such systematic control will, in the long term, guarantee increased revenue for the state budget and the maintenance of ecological balance.
