Details of a major crime involving the illegal extraction of sand and gravel mixtures in the Piskent district of the Tashkent region have been revealed. The Piskent District Prosecutor's Office has initiated a criminal case against the officials of "T.N.M." LLC under Article 192-11, Part 2, Clause "a" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and preliminary investigation activities are currently underway. This article covers offenses related to the abuse of power by officials resulting in especially large-scale damage.

According to investigation documents, the Ministry had issued an official license to "T.N.M." LLC for the extraction of minerals from the "Istiqlol-III" field in the Piskent district on an area of 8.0 hectares. However, company officials conducted unauthorized activities in contradiction to the requirements of the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 983 dated December 4, 2018, ignoring established procedures and boundaries. Specifically, it was determined that extraction was carried out outside the borders of the 8.0-hectare area permitted by the license.
Inspections revealed that a total of 93,299 cubic meters of sand and gravel mixture was extracted without authorization outside the licensed territory. These illegal actions resulted in material damage amounting to 2,861,200,433 UZS to the interests of the state and society. Currently, the prosecutor's office is continuing its investigation into the criminal case, including a detailed study of whether land plots in the area were allocated to other persons.
