The Inspectorate for Control in the Mining Industry and Geology recorded a sharp positive result in the rating assessment based on the results of 2025. Scoring 92 points out of a possible 100, the Inspectorate raised its operational efficiency to the "excellent" level. This indicator demonstrates the systematic formation of an atmosphere of zero tolerance towards corruption within the organization.
The evaluation process was carried out through the "E-Anticor.uz" electronic platform of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan. A group of independent experts consisting of 9 commission members, along with the Agency's specialists, participated in the process. The Inspectorate's activities were thoroughly studied based on 29 indicators across 5 priority areas.
In particular, the creation of legal frameworks for combating corruption within the Inspectorate, the correct assessment of corruption risks, and measures to mitigate them received high praise. Furthermore, the personal example set by leaders in fighting this menace and the efforts to increase the legal literacy of employees were analyzed. The effectiveness of promotional activities among the population also positively impacted the final score.
It is worth noting that this result is the product of systematic labor. Indeed, the Inspectorate scored 34 points in 2022, 21 points in 2023, and 0 points in 2024, consistently being rated as "unsatisfactory." The implementation of international standards by the anti-corruption department over a short period has radically changed the situation. In recognition of this, the Anti-Corruption Agency presented a letter of appreciation to the Inspectorate on April 6, 2026.
According to the rating results, it is planned to popularize the positive experience of organizations whose activities are found to be "good" and to encourage responsible employees. Conversely, disciplinary measures are to be considered for heads of agencies with low efficiency. The 92 points achieved by the Inspectorate is not only a success for the team but also an indication of the increased transparency of the oversight system in the sector.
This achievement confirms that ensuring legality in state control bodies is a guarantee of economic stability. A corruption-free environment increases the flow of investments and prevents the misappropriation of resources. The Inspectorate aims to further strengthen control mechanisms in this direction in the future.
