According to the decree, a Republican Commission has been established under the leadership of Prime Minister A. Aripov, tasked with organizing high-level festive events not only in central areas but also in all makhallas, villages, and auls. This year's celebrations will start in April and continue until September, covering large-scale spiritual and educational projects. In particular, events within the framework of the "Mustaqillik to'yi" (Independence Festival) will serve to unite all segments of the population, including youth, the elderly, and women, around a common goal.
An important aspect of the process is that throughout 2026, changes in the country's economy, defense potential, and social protection system will be widely covered in a popular language. In particular, the results achieved within the framework of the newly revised Constitution and the "Uzbekistan – 2030" strategy will be presented on an analytical basis. The inauguration of major industrial facilities, educational, and sports institutions on the eve of the holiday is a factor that practically proves the economic effectiveness of independence.
Among the tasks defined by the Head of State, the erection of the symbolic monument "Vatan fidoyilari" (Heroes of the Motherland) holds a special place. This project, to be developed by the Academy of Arts and the Ministry of Culture, will be located in the central part of the parks of national unity to be built in all regions during 2026–2030. Additionally, by August 1, 2026, a special book-album titled "Mustaqillik zafarnomasi" (The Chronicle of Independence Victories) will be prepared, capturing the historical achievements in every field.
In the era of digital technologies, the promotion of the holiday will also be actively carried out on social networks. Flashmobs and podcasts organized under the hashtags #Mustaqillik35 and #Uzb35 are aimed at raising the patriotic spirit of the younger generation. At the same time, international activity will be increased, and a major international scientific and practical conference will be held in Tashkent in August. Cultural events under the slogan "Independent Uzbekistan – My Pride and Honor" are planned for our compatriots living abroad.
Economically, the significance of the holiday is highlighted by the Central Bank's issuance of commemorative gold coins for the "35th anniversary of independence." Sources of financing for the festive events are also clearly defined: in the regions – through additional sources of local budgets and sponsorship funds; in the city of Tashkent – through equal shares from the republic and city budgets. This serves as a monitoring mechanism ensuring the targeted and transparent use of funds.
Ensuring the implementation of this decree demonstrates the strength of the control system in building a rule-of-law state and a civil society in Uzbekistan. The planned measures are not just festive celebrations, but a clear example of accountability and effectiveness in public administration. Such a strategic approach on the path of progress is of fundamental importance for ensuring the economic stability of the country and increasing investment attractiveness.
Analysis shows that the preparation process for the 35th anniversary of independence strengthens social cohesion in society and further unites the people around the national idea. Monitoring the effectiveness of reforms in each sector and presenting them to the people as a report is a primary tool for strengthening trust between the state and the citizen. This, in turn, is a guarantee for sustainable socio-economic growth in the long term.
