This press conference was significant not only in terms of reporting but also from the perspective of ensuring transparency in work to strengthen the country's mineral and raw material base. Deputy Minister U.Yusupov, Head of Department M.Bolibekov, and responsible ministry employees participated, providing detailed information on the effectiveness of geological exploration work.
Analysis of the work carried out in 2025 shows that special attention in the industry was paid to technological renewal and modern research methods. In particular, as a result of cosmogeological and geochemical studies, promising areas were identified, and a large volume of aerogeophysical work was completed. Detailed regional geological studies conducted in mountain ranges laid the foundation for the discovery of new deposits.
Within the framework of the mineral and raw material base development program, projects aimed at increasing groundwater reserves were successfully completed. This became an important link in state policy for providing the population with clean drinking water and efficient use of water resources in agriculture. Also, the value of products manufactured by mining enterprises demonstrated stable growth compared to previous years.
Positive dynamics in export indicators and the absorption of foreign investment were recognized as among the most important results of 2025. Due to the launch of new production capacities, a value-added chain is being created in the industry. This is a practical manifestation of the strategy of transitioning from the export of raw materials to the sale of finished products.
Within the tasks defined for 2026, the acceleration of geological projects and a further increase in production volumes are envisaged. Creating new jobs and ensuring employment will remain one of the ministry's main priorities in the coming year. Industry experts emphasize the implementation of environmental safety and modern control mechanisms in the development of new deposits.
The strengthening of the monitoring and control system will serve to prevent the illegal use of mineral resources. Measures carried out by state control bodies guarantee the protection of the subsoil and its use only on a legal basis. This, in turn, is a primary factor in ensuring economic stability.
These results indicate that Uzbekistan's geological sector is reaching international standards. Improving the control system and increasing investment attractiveness serve to form a rich resource base not only for today's indicators but also for future generations.
Ensuring legality and transparency in the industry increases the confidence of international investors, allowing for the introduction of high-tech solutions into the country's economy. The development of the mining industry directly boosts the growth of industrial production and the service sector, playing a decisive role in increasing state budget revenues.
