As part of the PRIM-0124 project, one of Uzbekistan’s prominent scientists, widely recognized in international academic circles, Professor Dilfuza Egamberdiyeva, visited the Research Institute of Plant Quarantine and Protection.
Professor Dilfuza Egamberdiyeva is currently serving as the First Deputy Director of the International Center for Strategic Development and Research in the Field of Food and Agriculture. Over the course of her scientific career, she has published more than 200 articles indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science databases, with an H-index above 40. The results of her research have been published in prestigious scientific journals such as Nature, Science, and Frontiers in Microbiology.
She is a laureate of the UNESCO – Carlos J. Finlay Award for Microbiology, a member of the international jury of the UNESCO – Equatorial Guinea International Prize for Research in the Life Sciences, and a recipient of the “Shukhrat” medal. In addition, according to Stanford University’s ranking, she is among the world’s top 2% of scientists.
This visit was organized within the following components of the PRIM-0124 project:
— Pillar B: Capacity building;
— Task B.4: Organizing seminars for staff on writing and publishing scientific papers;
— Pillar D: Knowledge acquiring and sharing;
— Task D.3: Publishing scientific papers in prestigious international journals.
The main purpose of the visit — within the framework of the World Bank’s PRIM project and by utilizing the expertise of highly qualified specialists — is to strengthen the Institute’s capacity for preparing and publishing research manuscripts in reputable international journals, to develop clear strategic approaches, and to implement them in practice.
