Large-scale work is being carried out in all districts and cities of our country to ensure the implementation of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on measures to create a safe environment in mahallas and further increase the effectiveness of the early prevention of crime system.
Based on the assignment, the working group headed by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Lieutenant General Pulat Bobojonov, is taking measures to explain the essence of the resolution and ensure the implementation of the assigned tasks in Navoi region.
The working group continued its studies in Khatirchi and Kiziltepa districts. In the "Damariq" mahalla of Khatirchi district, where the crime rate is high, the presentation of the head of the district Internal Affairs Department was reviewed, which reflected the organizational and preventive foundations of creating a safe environment in mahallas, as well as measures planned to be implemented in the first quarter of this year.
According to it, two "panic buttons" will be installed at the entrances to multi-storey buildings in the district, four "intercom" complexes at the doors, 235 multi-storey and individual houses, 20 trade and consumer service facilities will be put on technical protection, 20 facial recognition cameras will be installed at the entrances and exits of mahallas, and 45 "Model Safe Streets" and 110 "Model Safe Walkways" will be created.
A meeting was held with the participation of the mahalla sevens of the "red" category of mahallas Navbahor, Damariq, and Faravan, as well as the heads of the district sector and related organizations, to ensure the implementation of the decision and convey its essence to the executors.
Working group members began their studies in the Kiziltepa district by meeting with the mahalla sevens of the "Sufiyon" mahalla, sector heads, and officials. During the meeting, presentations were made by the head of the district internal affairs department and the prevention inspectors of the mahalla, and a model "roadmap" was presented to stabilize the criminogenic situation in mahallas and organize a system for early prevention of offence. Prevention inspectors were provided with computer packages from the local budget to stabilize criminogenic conditions in "red" mahallas in the district.
During meetings with the mahalla sevens and district officials, it was noted that, based on the requirements of the decision, specific tasks were assigned to mahalla, district, and regional officials. The officials responsible for executing priority tasks in a timely and high-quality manner will be rewarded, whereas those who were irresponsible in ensuring the implementation of the decision will be penalized.
The working group members are visiting all the cities and districts of the region and conducting targeted studies to identify and eliminate the factors that cause offence in mahallas with a high crime rate.
