On February 8, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Major General Bekmurod Abdullayev, held a videoconference meeting to discuss the work done by the Probation Service of the Department of Public Security and its territorial divisions during 2024 and the shortcomings. The meeting was attended by probation department officials, heads of public security services in the regions, heads of territorial probation departments (units), and employees of district and city probation departments.
First, the report was read out by the Deputy Head of the Department of Public Security, Colonel Sharof Uralov. Along with the positive work carried out over the past year, shortcomings made in assisting the social adaptation of persons under supervision in some regions. The shortcomings included ensuring and monitoring the execution of sentences imposed on them and preventing their re-offending as early as possible. The issues were critically discussed.
The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs issued appropriate warnings to certain leaders and employees who were irresponsible in their duties. He instructed them on the necessary measures to be taken in the future.
Following the meeting, Major General Bekmurod Abdullayev gave a worthy incentive to a group of employees who achieved positive results in effectively organising probation activities with the Ministerial Cup and cash prizes.
