The Republican working group, headed by Lieutenant General Pulat Bobojonov, Minister of Internal Affairs, continues to review the implementation of the Head of State's resolution on improving the crime situation in the Surkhandarya region and creating a safe environment in the mahallas.
During the event, the working group, with the participation of district sector heads, mahalla sevens, and representatives of relevant organizations, was presented in the "Buyuk Kelajak" mahalla in Denov district, where the crime rate is high the construction of "Exemplary Safe Walkways", a "Law and Order Center", the launch of the "Safe Bus Stop" model, and the implementation of "Early Prevention of Crime Among Youth" and the implementation of the newly created "Safe Student and Population Security" platforms by specialists from the Denov Institute of Entrepreneurship and Pedagogy.
It is emphasized that to ensure the implementation of the decision, the National Guard will protect 383 apartments, multi-storey buildings, and 30 retail outlets by the beginning of this year. In addition to installing intercoms at the entrances of 20 multi-storey buildings, 76 cameras will also be installed at the main entrances and exits of the mahallas, which will recognize face and license plate information.
At the event, information was provided by those responsible for addressing the transformation of the mahallas into safe areas according to established tasks. Relevant instructions were issued to eliminate the identified shortcomings.
As a result of the study, the Republican working group and the district governor presented modern electric scooters to the preventive inspectors serving in 15 "red" category mahallas in the district for use in their work.
The studies in Denov district were continued in the "red" category "Vodiy" mahalla, where a presentation on "Returning Persons on Probation and Prophylactic Accounts to a Healthy Lifestyle" as well as the analysis of the work of the seven mahallas on early crime prevention were presented.
As part of the event, a presentation was made regarding constructing the "Youth Park" on the banks of the Kizil Suv River. The presentation highlighted how youth can spend their leisure time meaningfully, the conditions for craftsmen, and creating jobs for young people.
The working group continued its studies in the Shurchi district. A meeting was organized with the heads of the district sectors, partner organizations, and the mahalla seven in the "Charoghon" recreation park on the territory of the "Navruz" mahalla of the "red" category in the district, where detailed information about the decision requirements was provided.
A new work system was presented in the region to develop a model for "Early prevention of crime among young people" and "Providing targeted medical services to alcoholics, drug addicts, mentally ill individuals and other individuals in need of social support." As a result of the presentation, five "red" category mahallas were given computer packages for use by their services.
During the study, the working group presented a project for a new mahalla law enforcement facility in the "Yangishahar" mahalla of the Kumkurgan district, which is planned to be completed in the first quarter of this year, as well as work on creating safe areas in 7 mahallas in the district that are highly criminalized.
As part of this discussion, the group discussed the future tasks for transforming mahallas into crime-free areas in the first quarter of this year.
The Republican working group is studying the work on early crime prevention in all mahallas of Surkhandarya region and identifying specific targeted measures to improve the criminogenic environment.
